The NHS is turning 70 in one week. It’s Britain’s most loved institution. But as government cuts bite, doctors and nurses are struggling to pick up the pieces. redfish teamed up with award winning activist Dan Glass in this grassroots report on the NHS crisis & the people fighting to save it.

Subtitles available.

*CORRECTION: One of the voiceovers in this report states that: “70% of NHS contracts have already been sold off to private companies.”

We understand that this wording could be incorrectly understood to mean that 70% of all NHS contracts have been awarded to the private sector when in fact up to 70% of new NHS contracts tendered in 2016 and 2017 went to private companies, and did not go up by zero per cent as Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt claims in this report.

These figures are based on a study by the NHS Support Federation https://bit.ly/2tApQjR

We apologise for this lack of clarity.
