Behind Fortress Europe’s fortified walls, Spain is hiding a dark reality. Thousands of children trying to get to the European mainland have found themselves trapped in Melilla, a Spanish enclave on the continent of Africa.

Is Europe failing to live up to its legal obligation to protect the children in its care? redfish followed a group of minors living on the streets who face neglect, unsafe conditions and even sexual assault.
