In Colombia, the US-backed right-wing government of Ivan Duque is brutally cracking down on people taking part in mass protests against its neoliberal economic policies and widespread human rights abuses. More than a month since the start of the protests and despite everything they’re up against, people remain on the streets, defiant. A people’s uprising demanding radical change grows stronger by the day. redfish travelled to Colombia, one of the most unequal countries in Latin America, to see the repression and resistance first-hand and to investigate the reasons for the popular rebellion.
