For over two weeks, Colombians have flooded the streets demanding a stop to the neoliberal policies of the right-wing Duque government. What started as a nationwide strike against a bill that would raise taxes on public goods has morphed into a broader anti-government movement decrying income inequality, health ineqality, and police violence and demanding workers’ rights, Indigenous rights and the removal of the US-backed Duque administration. redfish spoke with human rights activist Adriana Benjumea about the situation on the ground.
